Description
Mepitel is a well-established two-layer wound contact dressing from Mölnlycke, consisting of a flexible polyamide net coated with soft silicone. Designed for wounds such as skin tears, lacerations, minor burns, and blisters, the small 5 cm x 7.5 cm format is practical for focal wounds, digits, and paediatric applications. The silicone coating allows the dressing to be lifted and repositioned without disturbing the wound bed or causing pain at removal. Exudate passes freely through the net into an absorbent secondary dressing, keeping the wound environment moist without becoming saturated.
