Biatain Alginate Rope from Coloplast is formulated for deep, narrow, or tunnelling wounds that require gentle packing rather than a flat sheet dressing. The 1-inch × 17½-inch (44 cm) rope conforms precisely to cavity wound geometry, delivering the same high-absorbency calcium-alginate action as the flat format. As exudate is absorbed, the fibres transform into a soft, cohesive gel that supports a moist healing environment and facilitates easy removal with minimal trauma to new tissue.
