Description
Purilon Gel from Coloplast is an amorphous hydrogel formulated to manage dry, necrotic, or sloughy wounds where rehydration of the wound bed is the primary clinical objective. By donating moisture to desiccated tissue, the gel facilitates autolytic debridement — allowing the body’s own enzymes to break down and clear devitalised material without requiring mechanical intervention. This single-use 8 g (0.28 oz) tube is convenient for targeted application in smaller wounds, wound pockets, or sinus tracts, and the gel’s cohesive consistency helps it stay in place under a secondary dressing. Suitable for chronic wounds including pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, and post-surgical cavities presenting with dry necrosis or slough.
