Description
A gel overlay sits on top of an existing mattress, which makes it the cheaper route to pressure redistribution when replacing the whole surface is not an option. This one uses 15 gel bladders running the full length of the patient contact area, so there is no gap where a hip or heel can bottom out.
It measures 42″ wide by 76″ long by 3.5″ thick and is rated to 500 lb. A convoluted foam topper improves comfort and air circulation, four elastic corner straps hold it to the mattress, and the urethane coated nylon cover sits over a stain resistant waterproof vinyl base.
