The compact 5 cm x 7.5 cm Mepiform dressing is designed for localised scar management — ideal for smaller post-surgical scars, biopsy sites, or isolated hypertrophic areas where a precise silicone interface is preferable to a larger sheet. Mölnlycke’s Safetac silicone gel maintains a moist occlusive microenvironment over the scar that is thought to inhibit excess fibroblast activity, gradually reducing scar height, redness, and firmness with regular wear. The self-adhesive backing eliminates the need for tape or fixation films, and each sheet is washable for repeated use.
