Mepiform is a self-adhesive silicone gel dressing developed specifically for scar management. The long, narrow 4 cm x 30 cm format is particularly effective for linear post-surgical scars — following procedures such as caesarean sections, joint replacements, or thoracic surgery — where continuous silicone coverage along the full scar length is the clinical goal. Safetac silicone gel creates a gentle occlusive environment that has been shown to reduce collagen overproduction, helping hypertrophic and keloid scars become softer, flatter, and less discoloured with consistent use. Each dressing can be reused, washed, and reapplied across the treatment period.
