Description
Melgisorb Ag is Mölnlycke’s antimicrobial alginate dressing, combining the high absorbency of calcium alginate with the broad-spectrum antibacterial action of ionic silver. The 5 x 5 cm size is suited to smaller infected or critically colonised wounds — including pressure injuries, diabetic foot ulcers, and post-surgical sites — where managing both exudate and microbial burden simultaneously is a clinical priority. Silver ions are released upon contact with wound fluid, delivering sustained antimicrobial activity at the wound bed.
