This Med-Aire Plus system runs alternating pressure and low air loss together, and adds a 10″ deep static perimeter tube along the length of the mattress to guard against falls and entrapment.
It suits caregivers managing higher-acuity patients at home or in long term care: the digital control unit offers four cycle times, comfort settings adjustable by weight, and three diagnostic audio and visual alarms. Cell-on-cell air cells resist bottoming out and hold up to 24 hours of power outage protection. The surface measures 36″ wide by 80″ long and supports up to 450 lb.
