The Drive Medical BA9600-NP-42 is a wider variant of the Balanced Aire non-powered mattress series, offering a 42″ sleeping surface alongside two premium features: an integrated heel slope and a 2.5″ hybrid visco foam top layer. The heel slope angles the foot section to redirect pressure away from the bony prominences of the heel — a common site for pressure injury development — while the visco foam layer adds contouring comfort and improved heat dissipation. Like all Balanced Aire models, the mattress self-adjusts across three independent pressure zones without any electrical connection.
