Description
The Covidien AMD Antimicrobial Foam Dressing with PHMB (4 in x 4 in) addresses both exudate management and microbial control in one dressing. Polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB) is released at the wound interface to reduce microbial burden, while the absorbent polyurethane foam core draws away exudate to keep the wound environment balanced. This makes it well suited to chronic wounds at increased risk of biofilm formation, such as pressure injuries or diabetic foot ulcers.
