Description
The narrow 2 cm x 30 cm ribbon format of Algisite M from Smith & Nephew is purpose-built for packing deep or tunnelling wounds where flat sheet dressings cannot reach. The alginate fibres absorb exudate and form a continuous gel within the cavity, maintaining moisture at the wound base while gently debriding and supporting healing from the inside out. The ribbon length allows the clinician to loosely fill even deep sinus tracts without overpacking, and a tail can be left external to facilitate complete removal.
