Description
The Exsalt SD7 Wound Dressing from Exciton Technologies is a three-layer antimicrobial dressing that employs silver oxysalt technology to deliver potent, sustained antibacterial action at the wound site. Two non-adherent polyethylene mesh wound-contact layers surround an absorbent polyester core, and all three layers are silver-coated at approximately 0.4 mg/cm². In vitro data support antibacterial efficacy for up to seven days against common wound pathogens. The 5 cm x 5 cm size is well suited to smaller acute or chronic wounds.
