Description
Leukomed Sorbact is a post-operative wound dressing that combines a waterproof, breathable outer film with a wound contact layer coated in DACC (dialkylcarbamoyl chloride) Sorbact technology. Rather than releasing chemical antimicrobials, Sorbact works through hydrophobic interaction: bacteria and fungi with hydrophobic surface properties adhere irreversibly to the contact layer and are removed from the wound when the dressing is changed. This physical mode of action helps reduce microbial load at the surgical site without disrupting the natural wound-healing environment. Supplied sterile in boxes of 20, sized 10 cm x 30 cm for longer incisions.
