Description
Pause the water without losing your temperature
The pause control on this Moen handset stops the water at the shower head rather than at the tap. That means a caregiver can pause while soaping, moving a transfer board or repositioning someone on a shower chair, then restart at exactly the temperature that was already set. Shutting off at the valve instead forces you to re-mix hot and cold every time, which wastes water and risks scalding a user who cannot move away quickly.
Built for seated and assisted showering
The 84-inch flex-soft hose is substantially longer than a standard handheld hose. It reaches a user seated on a shower chair, a transfer bench or a bath seat, and gives a caregiver room to stand outside the spray. The handle is lightweight with a soft-grip surface and a safety strap, which keeps the handset from dropping if a user’s grip slips mid-shower.
Three sprays, one oversized control
An oversized spray control ring turns easily with a weak grip or with wet hands, and selects between shower, pulsating and massage settings. Users with arthritis or reduced hand strength tend to struggle with the small, stiff dials on standard consumer handsets — the control here is sized for that.
Installation
The handset replaces an existing shower head at the standard threaded arm connection. No plumbing modification, no wall cutting and no tools beyond a wrench are required, which makes it a practical retrofit for a rental or a home you are aging in place in.
