The Acapella DH Vibratory PEP Therapy System (green) by Smiths Medical is a hand-held airway clearance device that simultaneously delivers positive expiratory pressure and oscillating vibrations to loosen and mobilise pulmonary secretions. Designed for patients who can sustain expiratory flow rates of 15 litres per minute or greater for at least three seconds, it is well-suited for adults managing conditions such as COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, and cystic fibrosis. An adjustable expiratory resistance dial allows the clinician or patient to fine-tune both vibration frequency and airflow resistance for personalised therapy.
