The Rusch Teleflex Asherman Chest Seal is a vented, occlusive wound dressing engineered specifically for the emergency management of open pneumothorax (sucking chest wounds). The 5.5-inch diameter provides broad coverage of most chest wall defects, while the flutter-valve vent allows air to escape on exhalation and seals on inhalation — helping prevent tension pneumothorax. Sterile and latex-based, each unit is individually packaged for rapid deployment by emergency responders and clinical teams.
