The porous polyamide net is uniformly coated with a soft-silicone adhesive that bonds to intact peri-wound skin without bonding to the moist wound surface — a distinction that dramatically reduces pain and the risk of re-injury at dressing changes. Because the contact layer does not need to be replaced with every secondary dressing change, ongoing care is more efficient and less distressing for patients.
