Exufiber Ag+ (2×45 cm) from Molnlycke is a sterile, silver-containing gelling fibre dressing formulated for heavily exuding and infected or at-risk wounds. Upon contact with wound fluid, the fibres rapidly gel to form a cohesive mass that locks exudate, bacteria, and slough within the dressing structure — facilitating cleaner removal without leaving fibres behind in the wound bed. The ionic silver provides sustained antimicrobial activity to help reduce the bioburden that can impede healing. The narrow ribbon format is especially practical for packing sinuses, tunnels, and fistulas.
