Description
The Kerlix AMD Super Sponge by Covidien / Medtronic is a large-format, antimicrobial primary dressing intended for wounds with moderate to heavy exudate. Each sterile sponge measures 6¾ in × 6 in and is impregnated with 0.2% polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB), a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent that helps reduce the bioburden within the wound bed. The fluff-dried cotton construction absorbs and retains fluid effectively, and the dressing can be used wet or dry, adapting to a range of wound care protocols. Sold as pairs within each pack-of-2 unit; the box contains 20 such units.
