Description
The Shiley Cuffless Tracheostomy Tube with Reusable Inner Cannula, Size 5, is intended for patients who have a stable, protected airway and do not require the added seal of a cuffed device. Without an inflatable cuff, the tube allows airflow around the tube, which can support phonation and is often preferred during the weaning or decannulation process. The included reusable inner cannula can be removed, cleaned, and reinserted, reducing the ongoing supply cost compared to disposable alternatives. As with all tracheostomy devices, it should be placed and managed by trained clinical personnel.
