The Hollister Calcicare Calcium Alginate Dressing with Silver integrates the proven absorbency of calcium alginate fibres with the antimicrobial properties of ionic silver. In a 2″ x 2″ format, it is designed for small wounds that are at risk of infection or that present with signs of critical colonisation, including pressure injuries, leg ulcers, and minor post-surgical wounds. Silver ions are released upon contact with wound fluid, providing a broad-spectrum antimicrobial effect while the alginate gel matrix supports a moist healing environment.
