Seat depth is normally fixed at purchase; here a patented built-in seat rail extension and extendable upholstery move it between 16″ and 18″, so one chair can be refitted as needs change or reassigned to another user.

The hydraulic mechanism reclines to 180°, and the attendant wheel locks sit where a caregiver can actually reach them. A standard dual axle sets the seat between 17.5″ and 19.5″ from the floor for hemi-level propelling, front caster forks adjust through three positions, and flip-back padded arms clear the way for lateral transfers.
