Description
Biatain Alginate Ag is a calcium alginate wound dressing with an integrated ionic silver component, designed for moderate-to-heavily exuding wounds where infection is present or suspected. Upon contact with wound fluid, the alginate fibres absorb exudate and form a soft, cohesive gel that conforms to the wound bed and maintains a moist healing environment. Simultaneously, silver ions are released to provide broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against common wound pathogens. The 2 × 2 in size is suited to smaller wound cavities, shallow ulcers, and partial-thickness wounds. Requires a secondary dressing to secure in place. Each box contains 30 dressings.
